Phoenix Hebrew Academy
Phoenix, AZ

In anticipation to an expansion of their existing 130 student, K-6 campus to accommodate up to 250 or 300 students, the Phoenix Hebrew Academy board asked winslow + partners to evaluate the existing campus and facilities and to propose adequate facilities to house the desired capacity in new and/or remodeled facilities. Their expressed need was to have help in developing an architectural program to develop a master plan, design direction, and overall strategy with general budget projection in order to make decisions on achieving these goals.

The campus consists of several buildings in varied condition and constructed at different times for a range of uses. This includes an existing two-story classroom building, built in 1972, along with the synagogue and social hall/auditorium. The current classroom building, though 2-story, is not served by an elevator. Existing residential buildings on the campus are to be demolished.
