Phoenix City Hall
Phoenix, AZ

Originally awarded to another firm that was unable to meet the program requirements. Paul resolved the programmatic issues, led the design, and the restoration process. All doorknobs were replaced by casting new ones from an original doorknob.  Exterior bronze doors and interior elevator doors were cleaned without disturbing the acquired patina. Light fixtures were rewired to meet code and re-fabricated elements replaced.  Restrooms were modified to current standards and marble toilet partitions refinished.  Contemporary wood furnishings were installed to feel compatible but not to be confused with historic pieces.

Paul Winslow, FAIA, was the architect of record resolving some programmatic issues and leading the historic restoration process, as well as overseeing the construction administration while working at Orcutt/Winslow.
