Located in the Hayden Ferry Lakeside development at Tempe Town Lake, the Hyatt Regency was designed to compliment the modern, mixed use complex. Conceived as a very contemporary hotel with 183 rooms and 14 stories tall it would offer a refined, yet eclectic accommodation in Tempe, which vibrant downtown has become a destination in the greater Phoenix area. The hotel is surrounded by the 220-acre iconic Tempe Town Lake and Hayden’s Butte, and is located ten minutes from Sky Harbor International Airport. Besides the hotel rooms there were 44 residential units designed to be built atop the property.  With great views of the lake they would also enjoy of the amenities provided by the Hyatt Regency.

Paul Winslow, FAIA, led the design development, and was the project architect while working at Orcutt/Winslow.
